One of the problems that Adults with ADD have with improving their personal finances is that there seem to be limited outside role models to inspire and to emulate. I have attached a portion of a post from a woman with ADD who has used routines to make a positive impact on her finances. The post also happens to mention she used advice she received from this website.
I read somewhere on this wonderful blog, Adult ADD and Money, an important tip. People with ADD need financial routines to pay off debt.
Taking that important advice, I established a routine for extra payments that is a little bit of work, but very reassuring. Here it is, simply.
1) I do three things about money every day, first thing. The things can be as varied as writing a letter, investigating some new way of making a few extra bucks, balancing my checkbook or reading financial blogs for inspiration. By doing this things first, I seem to reinvigorate my commitment every day.
