Interesting statistics. I wonder how the beauty and hygeine industry figures in there. I know men are more prone to spending on that stuff now than in the past, but I would still bet that women far outspend them on beauty products and treatments, and are also more likely to consider certain beauty products to be basic necessities. I also wonder about eating habits--how much more likely are single men than women to eat out or order in instead of saving money by preparing their own meals?

As for #2, I also suspect that men are more likely than women to use credit cards to impulsively buy big ticket items. Just a guess, but I wouldn't be surprised if the statistics exist somewhere to back it up.

Living with ADD


  • The correct medical term for Attention Deficit Disorder is ADHD. There are 3 subtypes of ADHD: Predominantly inattentive(commonly called ADD), Predominantly hyperactive-impulsive, and Combined. Through out this blog and the ADHD related sites linked from this blog the terms ADHD, AD/HD, and ADD are used interchangeably.
