There are times when I feel that I do not give enough to help out other people. It is not because I am a bad person, or disdain giving to charities, it is because like most of us I get lost in the hectic day to day activities of life and I do not have the time or money set aside to make the consistent donations that I want to.
Here is a list of Three easy ways to donate to charities.
1. DONATE MONEY TO CHARITIES ON-LINE
One big problem that I had with donating is that there was always paperwork involved. You had to find the address of the charity that you wanted to give money to, you had to write a letter telling the charity what you were giving to them, and you had to write out a check, address the envelope and mail the envelope. Often times I would end up not giving money to a charity simply because I lost track during one of these steps and I would end up forgetting about it. Many charities now accept contributions over the Internet, so that it takes under 5 minutes to find the charity that I want to donate and to actually donate the money. When you are donating money on-line just make sure that the charity is an organization that you trust.
2. DONATE FREQUENT FLIER MILES
There are many people that end up not using their frequent flier miles, instead of wasting your miles why not donate them to charity. The American National Red Cross accept frequent flier miles from several airlines.
3. DONATE YOU OLD CELLPHONES
If you are like me, you probably have several cellphones around the house that you no longer use. I am going to go to my local Staples store and donate the phones to Collective Good. Collective Good allows you to donate to many charities.
