If someone did a study about ADD and personal wealth I believe you would find that more ADD adults than the general population would be found among the wealthiest people and among the poorest people. I do not have any facts to back up this fact other than personal observation. The next question that I would ask is what are the difference between the wealthy ADD adults and the poor ADD adults. I think there are two major differences between wealthy ADD adults and poor ADD adults.
1. Truly successful ADD adults are able to channel their passions into their career and financial planning.
Most ADD adults will not find true success without following their passion. Success may not translate into true wealth, however you are more likely to be wealthy if you can put 110% of yourself in whatever you are doing. A mistake that may people make is to focus strictly on the wealth. Some ADD adults can accumulate wealth by being able to hyper-focus on making money, however most ADD adults will fail if the focus in just on accumulating wealth.
2. Successful ADD adults have developed support systems to help them with their weaknesses. This key to success is often overlooked by struggling ADD adults. In many cases the only major difference between struggling ADD adults and successful ADD adults is the support system. A support system could include having people to help with your weakness or establish a routine or habit to make sure you are able to do things like paying your bills or being on time for important appointments.
