Having a plan to deal with your finances in a great first step to deal with money issues. If you have a plan that you understand and that is easy to follow you can be successful. When people have setbacks with their financial plan they are usually quick to blame the plan. While no financial plan can be perfect, there are usually other greater issues to explain financial setbacks.
One issue that is often overlooked is that we can be our own worse enemy. Perhaps, like many adults with ADD you are so use to failing that you do not actually believe you can straighten out your financial issues. Or maybe the reason you spend money that you don't have, is to block out the feeling that almost everyone else is better than you, if you can show people that you are just like everyone else you can feel better about yourself.
There are three steps you can take to help you to minimize the damage that self inflicted sabotage can do to your financial and emotional well being.
1. Recognize our self destructing behavior
2. Creating a positive internal environment in order to reduce self doubt and fear.
