One issue that is often overlooked is that we can be our own worse enemy. Negativity is everywhere, and it's a challenge for so many people to try to overcome it. I applaud your courage to admit it! The problem, of course, is that the negativity rarely has complete root in reality, AND it leads to a self-perpetuating cycle of failure and loathing. The best insurance against this can sometimes be getting the input of a trusted and reliable third party who sees both sides of you. It helps me, anyway.
