It seems that every time I turn on the television, I see another advertisement to sell broken or old jewelry through the mail. Personally if I had gold jewelry that I wanted to sell, I would not be likely to sell my gold through the mail. Even though most companies insure the packages that you send to them, I am still a little leery of sending gold through the mail, and I do no have complete trust in a transaction that is not done face to face. I would take the time to go to a couple of local jewelers or dealers, where I would be very likely to get a higher price than if I sold through the mail. However, there are pros to selling gold jewelery through the mail.
Selling gold through the mail is very easy to do. Many adults with ADHD get frustrated or distracted with dealing with the extra steps of getting prices from other jewelers or dealers, and would never sell their jewelry otherwise. If you have broken jewelry or solo earrings with out their matching partner that you would not sell with out this service, then it also helps you to reduce clutter.
Overall selling gold through the mail is typically not a good idea because you do not get good value for your property. In many cases people often underestimate the sentimental value of certain pieces of jewelry and are disappointed with the money the get for their jewelry. If you sell items that have a lot of craftsmanship, it is not taken into account when you sell by mail because the gold is melted down. Selling your jewelry by mail may not be a bad idea if you have a couple of small pieces that you would not have sold otherwise, however if you need to sell your jewelry in order to get additional cash it is your best interest to take the additional time to visit local jewelers and dealers so that you can be assured that you are getting the most amount of money for your jewelry.

Selling gold thru the mail is a lot safer than most people thing. The packagaes are typically insured and you save yourself the hassle of going to a pawn shop. I think most people prefer the anonymity as well.

i have received more than a dozen emails already inviting me to sell my gold jewelries thru the mail. although i have some gold stuff that are just lying around my drawer, i would never sell them thru mail in case i really need to do so. it may be very convenient but i think it's best to just visit a reputed jeweler or gold buyer if you really need to sell your jewelries.
