To begin the new year everyone it seems that almost everyone is looking for ways to save money. Many people have made resolutions and are trying to make extreme changes in order to reach their goals. Most New Year's resolutions will fizzle out before the end of the month because it is extremely difficult to keep up with the extreme changes. You are more likely to make lasting progress with your goals by making smaller changes that are easier to maintain.
One change that is easy to make is to make sure you are getting the best price when filling up your car. I go to the gas prices tool on MSN autos to make sure I am getting a good price for gas. When I looked at prices in my area, there was a 24 cent difference per gallon between the highest and lowest price. That is pretty significant, if I filled up once a week, the difference would be about $3.00 per week, or over $150.00 for a year. This is an easy change and when it is combined with other changes the savings can add up very quickly.
